Bump, and wishing to get in contact with any of the owners, or regular players/lovers of BA.
Atm I'm trying to organise a set of Weekly events, for the playing (not AFKing) of Minigames.
Basically, each of the participating Minigames will have 1 day a week (same day every week) when they will host an event (preferably at the same time/s each week).
This is so that people who wish to play, but stay away during Spotlights (to avoid AFKers), and stay away the rest of the time because they don't think there will be players, to know that they can guarantee getting played games at those times. That will both assist older players, who know the content is fun.. and newer ones who have never had the opportunity to experience it in a non-AFK (and thus potentially fun) way.
Doing it regularly allows people to get to know about it, and get used to the times. It will also help highlight the fact the content can still be found fun, when played - this may assist in persuading JAGEX not to remove them.
So far the GOP, Heist, and Conquest groups are all participating, though the exact times are not entirely decided (mostly because more than one day is possible, and they don't wish to hog a day, if another group can only do that one - once we know which groups are taking part, it should be easy enough to make things concrete).
Both Gop and Conq have systems in place that are designed to encourage and reward players through learning the basics (basically they're given rewards for achieving targets, and when they can demonstrate they understand certain mechanics); it may be an idea to do something along these lines, too (as it can help encourage participation) - BA is fairly rewarding, though, so that may not be necessary.
We're hoping to get these up and running by the last week of Jan, or 1st Week of Feb.
Please let me know, if you're interested (I shall be checking this thread fairly regularly, as I may miss PMs due to DCing, working, or playing Minigames).
