This game used to challenge you a bit. However anyone who's played it for a while would have noticed that it seems to be that we are now catering to the stupidest laziest of gamers. The latest example being this line on the screen that points to the drop that you received. It's just ridiculous. Can't look on the screen and see where the drop is then you've got a problem. This is just another and a long line of things that have made this game no longer challenging whatsoever. Are we Are we making it this way so that these people do not cry when they lose? Losing is a fact of life and without it there is no winning and without winning there is no competitive spirit.

I don't see anything challenging without a loot beam type of features in a video game at all.

People cry when they lose? If they lose, they don't get loot. They get sent to Death's Office. So much for challenging and crying. :D

The line is dumb, but I am guessing you haven't tried the improved loot interface? 7 squares any direction from your character. It's awesome.

The game is like an open-book physics test. I'd bet most players online at any moment are conducting research in some way.

Everything is a formula, but nobody can do the math. Like the recent question of how manual combat compares to revo++. From what they said, nobody knows. Nobody.

Even maneuvering your camera to see what you are doing is a test of patience.

So making it simpler is a fantastic idea! If I'm supposed to be here for 60 million hours I should at least feel comfortable at some point.

When you kill a monster and get a drop, there is a vertical white line pointing from the box describing the drop to the drop on the ground. Just kill a monster and you should see it.

I do not have a screenshot of it, because I have turned the boxes off, and I am not going to turn them on ever again.

And this is why people today...avoid the forums.
There are toggles in the options menu for ALL SORTS of things, including hotkey's for skills and what the function WILL BE (as long as the option is available for the item you're putting there).

Runescape can be a Skill and Chill game, fast paced IN YOUR FACE perfect timing for procs and que's of abilities, or you can be like a lot of people and abandon rs3 and go back to osrs where learning to adapt doesn't exist...oh wait, yes it does.

Point is, you can turn off these "annoyances" in your options menu and Adventure Guide (which you can turn off entirely as well).
not trying to be a negative norm here, but c'mon...a smidge of common sense is required, and some knowledge of what you're speaking of is also required.

Remember, options/settings menus have a LOT of toggles.
Check them out.
