Jagex continues to make content that affects Red and Green Color Blind players with no way to go around this. I have been playing this game for years and most games support R and G colorblindness, however here, especially in OSRS; Jagex does not add in a feature to support this color blindness.

Instead they add content like Monkey Madness 2 where the monkeys throw rocks that are green and white. There are many other types of scenarios but this game is really hard to play when critical items in critical bosses, quests and more require you to see certain colors in a very short time-period that you just can't.

Original message details are unavailable.

Accessibility is important, and should be an integrated part of content development.

Absolutely agreed.

Jagex was fishing for accessibility requests during "Purple Thursday" a month and a half ago, so hopefully the need for improved colourblind features was brought to their attention. That, combined with the many recent strides towards colourblind support across the gaming industry in recent years, makes me hopeful that RuneScape will accommodate these needs sooner rather than later.

That is very good to hear!
I remember Mod Michelle was a good channel to pass on information about such issues, in the past, but sadly she left, when they closed the in-house Wiki. I'm glad they now have other routes for this information on problems to enter the work-chain.

Is there a particular place where they collate this info, on an on-going basis, or do they just run a thread during the event?

Edit: Apologies for the stupidity, I'd somehow read about it being MM2-related, but not twigged that implied this was OSRS-related, so Mod Michelle wasn't relevant, due to working on the RS3, and Website side of things. However, I still hope that they continue to work on these issues, in both games, and have good channels for reporting difficulties.

It's not even limited to colorblindness. The Croesus spores were given a colorblind option and it is awesome. The original version has red, white and green spores. A bizarre choice right?

For me, I could barely see the red and couldn't easily distinguish the white from green. And it was simply because they did a bad job. Color issues were secondary, but they at least took the time to fix it up.

So many features suffer from poor visibility. The devs think a slight change of shade is easily noticeable. Or the very slow pulsing on the cape rack when I am trying to find the right spot to store one.

Rockertunities, etc.. Everything involved is a negative experience due to poor choices in every stage of development. From the first concept to final release.

They should WANT to do better. There is no excuse for it.

Hope you don't mind Baron Dune but to get it better exposure I've moved it out of Rants and into Existing Game Content.

After thinking about it I think it's a better call as Jagex staff may see this thread here and miss it in Rants.

Hope it sits well with others too for the move.

Trying to get the best for the thread and content. ;)
