A general restriction on things used for griefing or that otherwise obstruct other players' experience with the game is still a perfectly viable option even if you think it isn't. We already have precedence with existing restrictions on things like canons for those same reasons. Restricting the ring of trees from places people use them to grief players wouldn't be all that different from some things already being done, so you can't even really claim it'd be bad for that reason. There's also a difference between taking issue with a specific option to solve a problem and refusing any option at all telling people to just deal with it as it is.

As I've already said, there is a very real issue that needs to be solved. It doesn't have to be solved in the way OP is suggesting but ignoring it is not an option. Instead of shutting it all down and calling it dumb, just come up with a solution you would be ok with. If there aren't any then be more polite about voicing your thoughts on that.

Banning also isn't really the right word to use here, since they aren't really being removed in the game. It'd also be possible to avoid excluding it from the area entirely as I mentioned before, which is why it's a lot more helpful to discuss different solutions to the problem, their pros and cons, etc. How to block a forum user

Your "solution" is letting the griefers do what they like, and chase those of us trying to skill in the dedicated worlds away. Since the tree image is too big, you can't check who the culprit is and make them stop it. As I'm writing this, there's at least five tree-rings going off. They're blocking the view of the portables, fire spirits, divine blessings, etc.

Since only certain parts of the GE allow portables and dummies to be set up, is it really that difficult to block tree rings from activating in that zone?

Yet they are items that are meant to be used, so why should there be a limit on where you can/cant use them?

Once again, ppl have access to quest ring yet no one says anything about that despite its transmogs being in the same boat as this.

Plus if you choose to go to GE or populated spots, why arent you expecting this?

Too many treat this GAME as life!

Too many are angry HATE-FILLED and only want the game THEIR WAY!

Even the official wiki lists LUMBRIDGE as the OFFICE LOCATION FOR PORTABLES!

These people just want to have their cake and eat it too!
