i'm about 43 of 50 in this yak track and its not been the most balanced thing for sure. Some tasks by the early 30's were requiring 4+ hours to slog out and that was for the "faster" top xp/skill option.
I am glad i opted to use my early stages of the thing to grind the simpler skill and kills on gathering resources especially mining for the massive smithing chunks its served me in recent levels. Most recent was something near 600k. I also spent 1 entire skill and kill mixing (unf) potions for the lvl 42 591k xp herb slog. So glad i had those 4500 herbs just.. sitting around.
Overall I am sure there has to be a more compelling way to promote engagement with the game without making it seem like a poorly scaled grind for limited time only stuff. At least the div tasks are a laugh. The most recent one of those i did actually required 300 energy less than the one prior. At least tone back the xp bloat as you get deeper in. Maybe have more of the specific item tasks but in reasonable quantities. Or have more that promote cross skilling - say cut logs fletch (u) bows for a task instead of "spend a day or 2 slogging at this 1 spot"
