So I'm sitting here in my fortress of
evil
solitude, smelting 25000 some odd gold ores into bars.
And man, is it tedious.
108 seconds for 60 bars. It's not super slow, but it ain't that quick, either.
Some time ago Jagex reworked the Blast Furnace apparently (most likely the Mining & Smithing rework update) so that certain ores cannot be smelted here - gold ores being one of those.
So I propose that the Blast Furnace be updated in the following way.
Allow players the ability to mass-smelt a large-ish number of ores at once. Let's say, a minimum of 2000 ores up to a maximum of 20,000.
Now obviously there should be a checks-and-balances here. Perhaps make it a once-a-day (or even once a week) thing. Or perhaps lock it behind a miniquest (or both?).
There should also be a chance to lose a % of the amount of ores attempted to be mass smelted.
It should also take a fair bit of time, but not so much that it's better to smelt them one by one.
Opinions?
