But there are a lot of other bosses that are much easier to kill. Why not kill those instead?
The game gets easier over time. This is inevitable. Once upon a time, GWD1 bosses were amongst the hardest bosses in the game, and not everyone could kill them. Nowadays, people can literally AFK them for hours on end with little to no input.
One day, Zuk will also become easier. Not because his damage will be lessened, but because armours, weapons, abilities, potions, etc. will all see updates that will make combat easier for players. This is how GWD1 bosses have become AFKable, so I don't see why Zuk won't see a similar trajectory.
You also have to think about those players who want hard bosses to kill. If every boss was as easy as the Giant Mole, it would put players off playing RS as there would be no challenge. To some, there is no challenge in fighting lesser bosses, so there needs to be a higher tier of boss for those few to challenge. This used to be the case for TzTok-Jad. Not many players owned a fire cape in the weeks, even months, following its release. It was for the few who wanted a challenge, and for the time it really was a challenge.
No change needs to happen here. We will see more bosses that will be much tougher than Zuk, but we will also see more powerful weapons that we can use to defeat these bosses easier.
