What is The Ninja Team?


The Ninja Team is an elite unit of J-Mods who specialize in rapid and precise action, taking on the day to day concerns of our players with an aim to raise quality of life throughout RuneScape. Disciplined and focused, our Ninjas strive to deliver maximum impact. Sometimes they choose to strike, coordinating their attacks in a specific skill or space in Gielinor. Other times they might make multiple smaller attacks, taking out a horde of concerns from all over the place.

What makes The Ninja Team different to the other teams at Jagex is that they target small changes that can make a big difference to your gameplay experience. Whether that's making inventory fixes, adjusting chat filters or even just adding teleports to hard-to-reach areas, our talented Ninjas aim to sneak in and solve your problems - sometimes before you even knew you had one!



What are the goals of the Ninja Team?



  • Strike with speed and precision!

  • Improve the experience of our players!

  • Use player suggestions to coordinate strikes!



How do I submit a challenge to the Ninja Team?


You head over to their Dojo of course! The Ninja Dojo is a submissions form that you can complete that will send your challenge over to the team. The link is at the end of this post.



What's a good challenge look like?


As good as our Ninjas are, they can't undertake every challenge they recieve. Unfortunately some just don't make the cut. To give yours the best possible chance of being accepted by the team, make sure your submission is:



  • Concise & focused - Usually refined to just a few words or a short sentence. The easier the suggestion is to understand the more time a Ninja has to strike!

  • Realistic & Achievable - As talented as our Ninjas are, they can't overhaul the game engine or add new quests and areas all by themselves. Keep suggestions potent but reasonable!

  • Meaningful - Our Ninjas want to strike where it matters, tackling player frustrations and transforming them into moments of joy. Make sure your suggestion will improve the game not just for you, but for others too!



What improvements have the Ninja team already done?



  • The Skills Necklace has been updated to include teleports to the Invention, Runecrafting and Farming guilds.

  • Apoterrasaurs now follow the correct tier ordering in the Animal Breeding Log.

  • Items in the Invention Make-X interface are now categorised based on their functionality, such as "Core Invention Items" and "Combat Support". This can be accessed via the dropdown on the interface.

  • The Tower of Life altars can now unnote the first ingredient of a creature's recipe by using the noted item on the altar, or by right clicking/long pressing the altar. This will unnote one item at a time, and will not work with the swordchick altar as the swordchick does not drop noted raw swordfish.

  • Buy 1, 5, 10, All, and X options have been added to Angof's Crystal Armour Shop on Tarddiad.

    Dear !Ninja, appreciate the job you're are about.
    If you could auto feed healing honeycomb to pof animals,that would be excellent.
    I just had to click feed dense honeycomb to a sick bull...87 TIMES!
    I have over 2000 each hc for healing, I stopped my play to write to you.

    This is a deal breaker for me, if this can't be addressed, I'll stop pof. I know that is no sweat off your nose & probably care less, just wanted to let you know that click feeding sick animals is a redundant waste of time, a real game killer for me. I've tried to adapt,preserver & overcome, it's simply a stupid waste of time.
    Love POF, really do,just not this aspect.

    Please add some sort of bad luck mitigation to Dominion Tower. I've sunk many hours into this minigame just to try to find a single boss that so far has never spawned for me. The only thing separating me from completing this content (and being able to finish the Desert Achievement Tasks) is getting lucky enough for a single boss to spawn in the DT.

    This is incredibly frustrating to players because there's nothing we can do other than keep plowing through the content and hoping for the randomness to be in our favor. I'm 750 kills in, and still haven't found the one boss I need. The odds are NOT in my favor, and I've seen other similar posts when searching for this issue online.

    There's a similar issue with the "Up to the Gods" Demonheim task, where the player literally just has to complete frozen floor after frozen floor in the hopes of a Frost Dragon spawning so that it can be killed. Again, incredibly frustrating when content is gated by randomness and not difficulty or a defined time bound (kill x bosses, complete y number of things, etc).
