Vet here of about 20 years playing RuneScape. Recently I've fell off as we all have a couple dozen times I'm sure. Lately I've been playing Diablo Immortals & it's extremely engaging being able to move freely with an analog stick, and trigger abilities with my Xbox elite controller. That's probably one of the biggest reasons I'm playing it over RuneScape right now, but
there's still so many things about RuneScape that even this game can just never compare to.
The bosses...the quests... the economy...and even just the fact that there are so many rare items that can be priced at billions. In many of the mmorpg games I've seen the amount of items in game be not even a fraction of RuneScapes, and be extremely accessible for everyone. It really takes away that incredible feeling of getting your hands on say a party hat or abomination cape for example, or the new bow. In Diablo I just played a raid boss that reminded me so much of RuneScape with its different phases and mechanics and was like damn... RuneScape :'( Since then I've been fantasizing on how insane it'd be if all the RuneScape bosses were ported over to Diablo lol but then I had a far more realistic idea...add controller support to RuneScape already! It would litterally skyrocket the RuneScape experience to never before seen levels. Just look at how popular Diablo is and they have but a fraction of the content that RuneScape has. With controller support added to runescape that'd be GG for all other MMORPG's easily. HYPE THIS UP!
Side note: there's no need to worry about not having enough buttons to handle all RuneScape tasks. Diablo solved that by having one button on the controller toggle your analog stick into being a mouse basically, where you move a cursor on screen instead.
