Here's the thing. Obsidian Armor just isn't as useful as it used to be. There are armors that are so much better that no one uses it at Fight cave or the Kiln, and forget even TRYING to use it Zuk. Here's what I suggest, upgradeable Obsidian Armor. I mean we get upgrades to the Fire Cape in the Kiln Capes and Zuk Capes. Why not the armor? And there are two ways I see it working.

1. You add more Obsidian bars to it like upgrading normal Smithing armors.

2. You have have to find some material to enhance it. It could even be related to the Elder Kiln or Ful directly.

I would just like to see the utility of it be useful for more than the mid tier.

I don't see Obsidian Weapons or Gear getting any kind of love any time soon.
Jagex is more focused on the other end-game aspects instead of revisiting Early Mid and Late Mid game content. We've seen this rather frequently as of late...and not to mention that certain Invention Perks are utterly useless these days...when we gonna see that revisted? Oh wait...we wont.
