I believe the best option would simply be to have three boxes which could be toggled in game settings: display pets, display familiars, and display cannons (which would include oldak coil). You would always see your own pet, familiar, or weapon, but choose whether or not you wanted to see those belonging to others.

i made my own opinion on this a loong time ago, glad its still active.

Support for obvious reasons.

1) It's USER-ONLY. meaning if i turned the toggle on, then I personally have my own reasons for wanting to not see Drakes, or the Kalgerion demons. You, being the owner of the pet, would not know i have the pet hidden, and if you asked about it, and i said i have them off, if you asked me to see it (which idk why you would, because it's not some important conversational piece) then sure why not, ill look at one every now and then.

2) Jagex has already made more than enough profits off of the drakes already. I know more sales is always a good thing for a company, but lets be real... its not like they havent gotten their moneys worth out of it already, and it's about time they appeal to the people who have been negatively affected by them too. Search any forum about the topic and you will see countless people who just see them as eyesores, or hate the people who use them to interrupt people casually bankstanding by shoving their large pet on top of them, covering them.

3) World Hopping is a sad reason to not do it. Sure, i could world hop, but people have their favorite worlds. also, world hopping simply doesnt solve the issue. especially in world 2 where you might be trying to sell something and not care to be covered by kalgerion demons.

Frankly, as point 1 says, its user-side-only, so nobody would ever know. If the user is being covered, they wont know, so they wont have any reason to be annoyed. If the person covering is doing it on purpose to annoy people, then, and only then will he be annoyed by this update. Because he cant be a troll. worst case scenario is interaction between them is less insulting.

lastly, the kalgerion demons chats, which show jagex is aware of people cursing out large pets, and assuming its based off jealousy because they have what we cant have, is sad on their part. Would love to see 200m capes.

Still doesnt mean it should happen.

If you choose to be in an highly active area then you choose to have a chance of running into one.

Theres plenty of ways of avoiding this issue as is so use them.
