Since the new Wood Spirits and the mining Stone Spirits can not be alched or disassembled, they take up bank space if you are not actively using them. Likely, you'll have Spirits that you are not using at a particular time, or not using because of your level, etc. The only option is to destroy them if you don't use them.
Now you haters of both, go away, do not comment, this thread is not for you.
Why not make them permanently held (kept track of) in the Wood Box and Ore Box. That way, they'll always be available to be consumed when you are woodcutting or mining the appropriate resource. It'll free up a lot of bank space for the hoarders, and it will remove the need to destroy the unwanted ones.
Now how this works, I'm not sure what is possible. When you obtain a Spirit, will it automatically go to your box in the bank? Or, do you still obtain the item and you need to store it in the box yourself? The developers would need to decide on how it happens.

There is also the option of selling them, and then bying them again when you need them. That is what I do.
Yes, that's what I do and strongly recommend because there is really no reason why we want to keep all those lower tiers items we have progressed way past in our bank. Even if we want to use them for no xp waste, why not just use them right at the time when we get them?
Since spirits can be sold and some are used for item crafting, they should be easily removable from the boxes and a toggle to choose when they are and aren't being spent would be a good idea.
