I'll just list them, it should be clear why:

1. Environment sounds. All the birds chirping, dogs barking, water splashing.

2. Other players. Any sound related to other players.

3. Vocal combat reactions. NPC and player.

4. Skilling sounds that indicate success.

5. Skilling sounds that are played during the action.

6. Musical jingles. This includes the GE indicator and a new brief playing of music when you enter a new area. Like it shuts off after 15-30 seconds or so.

This would ensure a pleasant and useful customizable experience for all players. No more sensory overload, no more denying yourself useful sounds, and a suitable amount of music for those who want the full experience but listen to their own beats.

I didn't include an option to turn off useful combat cues, but that is another thing to consider.

I'm wondering how difficult this would be. I would REALLY like the vocal combat reactions to be muted.

The thing is, when I am getting hit a lot that is when I am already focused and trying to fight difficult monsters, like Zuk. All it does is annoy and punish for something I am already too aware of.

I can't turn the sound off because I need and want the other audio.

Hopefully something like this got into the most wanted fix list, I know other players have complained about pet sounds, etc.

They might say this sound has been there for a long time, what is problem now? Problem is it limits my ability to advance in combat and is part of the reason I prefer weaker competition.

I'm here writing this now because I went over my limit of what I can tolerate, fighting armoured phantoms. Gotta rest and hope for something better.

Maybe I am looking at this the wrong way. I was basically forced to turn sound off to complete my task of gathering the new slayer soul. It's a little strange, but way less annoying.

In fact, maybe I over-rate the sounds in this game. I have to consider the possibility that they ruin the experience completely.

Maybe that's the hidden truth of the situation, the sounds are just not good. A complete rework is probably the best thing, but that's not likely.

It has persisted this long. Maybe I am lost in idealism and should join the crowd in rejecting the sounds entirely.

Huge support.

I have my ambient sounds turned off because I can't stand hearing other people's annoying elder trees. Why are they on the same sound channel? Have one for all other players' sounds, so we can turn those off separately.

On the same token, make it possible to block other players' familiars and pets, especially flapping dragons, because they are equally annoying.
