I'm not sure if this is the right forum for this.

Since the recent changes to Sophamen Slayer Dungeon, I've been (un)fortunate enough to receive three Soul Devourer tasks, killing only Feline Akh (108 Slayer), and have received exactly one Vital Spark drop, and around five keys. Is this going to be normal now or what? Has anyone else experienced this? Is the drop chance really this low or am I just unlucky?

yes this is the new norm, lower lvl slayers are punished while doing the highest lvl soph dung mobs has the highest chance at sparks

Does that seem right to you though? The bots tended not to go past Corrupted Scarabs. Why punish everyone who goes past the first room?

I did manage to get a few more drops after I made this thread, though I'm still not getting as many as before. Maybe level 109 will get me more. :D

It is normal you get less Vital Sparks now than before the update with lower level akh, but you will find greater chance killing high level akhs.

It is still not normal you only got 1 vital spark drop on a slayer assignment, as when you get a vital spark drop on assignment you will only get 2 or 3 with enhancer but not 1. AFAIK, this is not changed. Perhaps you are bugged when you only get 1 vital spark drop.

I mean the patch notes do not imply, that the rates of lower levelled creatures have been nerfed, just a buff for the stronger variants - scorpions just drop less salvage than before. Which both is good, since there literally was no reason to bother with the effort to deal with stronger variants, but to get their souls once.

But then of course it would be good to know what the rates were before that update and what they are now. I wouldn't make up my mind too much already, since it was perfectly possible to go out without sparks or just one drop before that update as well. Improvements: Tooltip / (F2P) QoL v2
