As most of us RS farmers know, it's always nice when you see the message in the chatbox saying 'Your scroll of life saves you a seed'. Since many of us have done a lot more herb farming since the Garden of Kharid update, I'm surprised the 'seed saving' quantity hasn't been increased aswell....
I'm planting 10 seeds per patch and whenever the scroll activates, I'm only ever saving 1 seed still.
Same when the Farmer outfit saves you seeds too... only ever 1 saved.
Surely this should have received an update to potentially save more seeds with the more that has been planted in the patches?
Maybe something for the ninja team to look at now we're into the new year (Happy new year everyone).
Let me know what everyone thinks.
Get some Jmods on board and make this a thing that can potentially happen.
Keep on Scapin' hard!
All the best,
Marc

I totally agree and support this. Been a long-time farmer as well and increasing the number of saved seeds when it procs, I feel, would align the old mechanic to the recent update.

I mean, it only feels right that the more seeds you plant per spot - the more you should receive back if the saving ability procs.
Most seeds worth planting aren't too expensive either and 99% of the time you end up making a profit from the harvests so i suppose most people wont mind if they receive 1 seed back.
Only since the Garden of Kharid update, some seed prices sky-rocketed because of the high demand to keep planting for the favour points and this led to the price of herbs dramatically dropping because of the high influx of herbs entering the game due to this.
All in all, a few extra seeds saved wouldnt go a miss would it?

I mean - it basically works like that for smithing with that bar saving scroll - you get a chance per bar, which can occur independently from one another. That could be done here as well.

fully support the idea that the seed-saving should save as many seeds as were planted in the patch.
before the update herb or tree patches would give back 1 saved seed, while allotment patches would indeed give back 3 saved seeds which was the necessary amount to replant.
so it would only be logical that if you planted e.g. 10 seeds in a herb patch, you should also get all 10 of them back
