Spare reward tokens aren't useless. The benefit of having spares is that it creates a buffer to catch up if you miss a year or two of premium. That said, they could also offer a consumable option such as runecoins for people who aren't interested in saving them up. Oddments as the consumable option would be pretty worthless since premium already gets 1K a month and they've gotten pretty devalued. How to block a forum user

Are the tokens still consumed on options you've already unlocked? This was an issue for the last premier, don't think it's been fixed yet.
