As someone who has played Runescape off and on for 20+ years I have saw many changes over the year having highs and lows. Coming back and dabbling in the game after a few years I see a few improvements that can be made. Server consolidation. I'm sure that events arise the increase the player base for a limited time just as many other games do. Outside of these periods the player base lacks and servers seem to lack any life along with events. As of today coming back I was trying to range train while doing a minigame to unlock some equipment using an old enjoyable minigame being pest control and saw 29 and 26 people on the two servers. Even one server couldn't host a game due to no one being on the boats in either. This brings up two questions why not consolidate servers and save a bit of money and add a bit of life to the minigame server and two if the content is dead either remove or tweak it to bring some relevancy back to the game. The game seems to add new content and just leave a bunch of filler in the world. Could these be changed to limited events with new rewards. Coming back to the game its very jarring to see all of this content and then needing a guide for what to do in these content pieces, what is relevant, and what is dead. I'm in and out from time to time and not a regular player so I don't have the strongest stance on this but from a more casual perspective having every piece of content at least feel relevant gives more incentive to return to the game. I feel the same with some quest content like unlocking rune plate with dragon slayer wasn't as impactful in RS3 vs OSRS for a newer player being that Rune means much less in RS3 vs OSRS. Some quests feel as if they offer little to nothing and lead to nothing and I wish they did. I may be wrong or a minority point of view being more casual but its just an opinion. Sorry for lacking a structured format I ramble.
