I was hoping to see what your thoughts on increasing the duration time for Master Greenfingers. Really? 20 mins? One hour cool down? I am wondering why it can't be increased to a longer duration. It would be much more useful than it is now. For now I really can only use it when I go to Trollheim to pick herbs and some other herb patches before it times out. Can I find the answer because I just don't see how it would be an unfair advantage for the player, especially those of us the live for the skill.

Why does greenfingers need to be longer?

Farm runs usually dont take more than 20min plus im sure you can extend it with vis wax as is.

Plus for troll patch, just use the trollheim tele that takes you straight to the patch.

Since I farm on every available plot, I have system in place, for like 10 years. So allotments composting, then fruit trees, then bushes, then hops, and of course Trollheim for the big ticket herbs. (currently on a spirit weed kick.) If it lasted longer it would be nice to have the extra herb, tomato etc, since it is supposed to add a better harvest option.
If it is going to be called Legendary, then make it exactly that.
That is why I brought it up. 20 minutes is not legendary. I am a serious farmer. I have the cape, but I make tons of good healing foods to sell.

That aura was designed over 10 years ago. 20 minutes certainly were fine at that time, so I wouldn't see an issue if it was adjusted to a modern farming run in 2022 - you still to seem like doing them after all. Make it 30 minutes to keep it future-proofed for a while longer for instance.

Or well - change it to work like any other skilling aura does - 1 hour up, 4 hours down if that buff would be too generous for some players.

It gives a 15% bonus yield chances.

Thus its more than fitting in its spot even with its low duration time.

I think even just a little improvement to the aura duration would help a lot, even if it's behind unlocks in progressive increments, something like how the totems can reduce cooldown of auras by 15% but instead improves the active duration by up to 5-6min. I love farming and with the full farming runs I do, with the current 20min duration, I have to choose either herb run or allotment run to add to my hops/bushes/cactus setup. Having at least an additional 5 min to the duration would give players the full farming run experience.

With this improvement, the vis wax extension is still viable for other farming activities such as fruit tree runs, mushroom runs, etc... that do not fall into the regular farming rotation.

Also, I think making the active duration of all auras in general part of their entire cooldown will make things smoother for all players that use them.

Currently, the cooldowns of auras start only after full duration of active state expires, even if it's interrupted for any reason. The proposed change would start the cooldown of auras as soon as you activate it, making it more predictable to use (especially helpful with farming). This will help players who have strict/structured time managements with their activities.

A game jam project in october basically proposed you can freeze the uptime of your auras (farming excluded due to its unique mechanics) by logging out.

Auras in general need a couple of fixes, but I think the cooldown thing also could be regarded as intended - and just poorly worded, albeit it's not super impressive, that this wasn't fixed in those 12 years they're part of the game now.

Other things like aura durations (not just the greenfingers (which additionally need a cooldown adjustment after purchasing that herb growth speed upgrade - bascially could be part of the same upgrade), also stuff like the bloodlust auras) just were made for that time and should be adjusted for the modern game. It's basically just instances have a duration of an hour - so an aura that runs shorter than that baseline doesn't fully fit to that anymore. Doesn't matter if it could be extended or reset - the base item is awry - in contrary to every single other combat aura.

You don't harvest more from fruit trees with Greenfinger aura active. I don't think you get from hops either. Do the trees last and 20 minutes are more than enough.
