Please do something about people who go into Croesus public lobby's just to pray as soon as mid spawns to stop people being able to get drops, Croesus is content the game incentivizes you to try early on and this toxic behavior doesn't paint the game in a great way. Solutions could be pair the statues so they have to be activated together keeping a mechanic in but making it harder to troll, or a simple kick system requiring a high amount like 90-80 percent yes to be kicked. RS3 seems to want to push towards endgame faster than ever and the start of ed3 for them will meet them with toxic behavior

The issue is less so this boss is being trolled by certain players, but more having this insane trolling potential in the first place.

The biggest mistake was, that this boss has no requirements at all to begin with - it's just way too complex and unforgiving for an absolute novice player. Milk is spilled, so it would be unfair to change this now.

What they could change though, would be reducing the massive reliance on the energy fungus spawn. Reduce the amount of points you get from those and increase other sources as compensation - and if it's just harvesting the core. That would also help with players not being forced to sit out for ages, when they actually finished their statues quickly.

Obviously there should be the ability to prevent a wipe by being able to pray if the corruption bar would otherwise get full.

There are many mechanics in Croesus that can be used to troll other players, and unfortunately most of these mechanics are key gameplay features of Croesus.

As for preventing players from praying "early", this would make the issue 100x worse. Praying early can, in some circumstances, save the kill. If there are many new players and/or trolls in the instance, the encounter could be over long before the core fungus appears. Praying at statues at least allows you to have a shot at getting the kill.

Hopefully Jagex will learn from the (many) mistakes made with Croesus, and the next skilling "boss" activity will be a better play experience.

Would be there any trolling potential if Jagex was to do the following:

- Repeatingly failing certain mechanics will lead to an instant knock out - what can be used for trolling would be climbing the wrong mushroom, walking back and forth through the mushroom forest (albeit in here they should ensure, that there is always a path for players without movement abilities to walk through) and standing in a spore bomb cloud. I mean it obviously should be high enough, so players have a bit of room to fail. Being knocked out too often by this (specifically this and not a regular knockout) in a short amount of time will prevent players to join public instances for a while. Having this happen more often will prolong the ban.
- Reward players more for helping out somebody caught in sticky fungus, maybe consider introducing a mechanic allowing players to help out ones caught in the stun bomb (albeit this can be avoided without stun breaking abilities)
- One player harvesting the rotten node of a carcass can't counter one harvesting the glowing one.
- Reduce the amount of damage taken by slime moulds - so bigger accumulations of players won't lead to accidental knockouts if players get unlucky.
- Reduce the amount of contribution gained for harvesting energy fungus and increase it for other activities instead.
- Statues can't be prayed unless all four are repaired or the corruption value gets too high (i.e. 80 %+).

I do not think that this issue could be fully resolved - but it will drastically reduce the potential for singular players to sabotage instances. It's just laughable easy right now.

I like this idea. I've played other games in the past that have limits to how much a single player can fail or harm their team (teamkilling, etc.) before they're forcefully kicked out from the session; it usually works pretty well, so long as they're kicked early enough for the rest of the team to salvage the run. It even doubles as a way to smack the hands of players who mean well but are simply too clueless to know that they're screwing up and teach them not to do that without exposing them to the toxicity of getting blasted by their teammates.

I just don't think learn from it is an acceptable takeaway when Croesus is the first available reaper/ intro to PVM in the game, I do take the point that its has to maintain mechanics to not be a loot machine (more than it already is) but I think the tweaks suggested like rebalancing the contribution points or limiting praying "early" pre one rotation to high enrages would be a great small tweak to make the boss more enjoyable and rewarding. Not asking for a rework and ive never coded in anything other basic mods for games but a simple if below x enrage and x time nothing interesting happens doesn't sound like an impossible fix
