I'm thinking Jagex probably won't go back to change this, but the Trim Trail Colors on the Master Max cape should've been given as an option to change the colors to our likings. Not everyone is going to agree with rainbow colors, but I admit, that's the best generic sort of option. On the other hand, given that we're 120 in every skill, we should've been able to choose which trim trail colors to have.

In addition to agreeing to this - I'd also like to mention it's rather poorly constructed that the upper part (unhooded) and the inner of the hood (hooded) comp capes are default and always red.
I can't imagine this was intented, as "old" capes this section is just part of the recoloring areas.

As for the smoke..I understand the colors, as it are the colors of the skill-symbol, hence why you needed 5 emerald 3 ruby and 2 sapphire (so it's not rainbow). But I would love to custom the smoke, for sure!
Especially the blue edges are so dark, it kinda minimizes the trail. Owner of **

Sure, as well as the ability to select a colour from any of the capes we already have unlocked.

I did read there's a lot of engine work associated with the smoke effect, so I can't see any changes soon. :/
