These would be a selection of tabs designed to segregate all the various items on the grand exchange, things like armour, runes, skilling supplies and tokens.
Yes for the most part these are currently searchable by typing in keywords, and browsing through the options that come up.
However as more items get added into the game these search terms increasingly stop working. For example you can no longer search ‘tokens’ or ‘dragon’ as too many results get returned.
This makes it awkward for new or returning players to functionally use the grand exchange without knowing beforehand the exact thing they’re after, or consulting wikis / seeking advice from friends.
Adding these tabs would allow players to freely browse through all the items at their leisure, possibly finding something they wouldn’t have previously considered.
There could even be:-
• A tab for “what’s new” that gets frequently updated as new items get added, for example the Zammy boss rewards, or yak sack capes would currently be in this tab.
• A “best in slot tab” that’s constantly updated with the best gear.
• A set of tabs for various level ranges

Like u said they can search for what they need just fine and if they need help they can just ask about what they're looking for it doesn't need tabs like u say it does
There's nothing wrong with doing research for what ur looking for anyways so I think using wiki is fine as well since itll give other suggestions that may be up being better than what they were originally looking for
It’s more a case of future proofing the Grand exchange, right now it’s not that much of an issue since there’s only a handful of search terms that no longer work. But what happens when you can no longer search “boots” or “platebody” or “staff”?
Eventually it’ll become a much larger issue than it is now, essentially breaking the GE. Imagine it you type in anything non descriptive, any generalised search and it comes back with “too many items”.
From a new player perspective this would ultimately look bad and potentially put them off the game entirely. “Wow this game sucks, I can’t even look at armours”.
