Not a bad idea. I think the BEST solution is to establish a stacking system. it avoids every problem of two combat rings etc and doesn't remove the potential of two utility rings.
What i mean is if a player wears a sixth age circuit and an imbued seer's ring,
Player's bonus would be :
magic crit: 3.0%
melee: 2.7%
ranged: 2.7%
only the best effect is taken into account and overrides the effect that's not as good. Prevents all the OP changes of wearing two combat rings and allows more ring flexibility (like getting the most DPS ring with the defensive abilities ring) you would gain only one bonus of the armour and defensive bonus (wearing two leviathans is useless as they will not stack with each other) and gain one hand bonus of the DPS ring.
anyways, I'm not sure how this will work out people wont have to select 'tank' or 'DPS' mode as far as ring goes which goes towards versatile hybriding and less like type specialist so i'm not sure, anyways. Because this really narrows down to giving a tank advantage to a DPS, or a DPS advantage to a tank so..
