(then again, according to most I still am a noob) :P
... my friend gave me a noted bronze platebody and I dropped it because I thought it was just a useless picture. :@
... I thought that when people were talking about 'Varrock' they meant 'The Rock' but just didn't spell it right. I thought there was just some big rock in the middle of a town somewhere. :|
... I thought that if I died, the game would finish and I would have to make a new file.
And my personal favourite...
... I thought that 'Man' and 'Woman' in Lumbridge were actual players with wierd names. I accidentally started attacking one of them and kept shouting out apologies... from then on I was terrified that at any point someone could just come up and kill me. O_o
Runescape was a scary place back then.

When I was a noob, I saw someone attacking a man outside Lumbridge castle (Thought it was an actual player) and ran to the basement of the castle. I ran to the bank, put all my stuff in and ran to Draynor where I was killed by a jail guard.
Oh, and I was in barbarian village once where I saw someone die. I picked up their stuff and found 10k with them. I instantly thought I was rich and ran to the general store. I bought everything I could and realized I had spent all my money on useless junk.

when i was a noob, i did*`t know about the ge, so i sold my logs at lumy where i woodcut for 6 gp.
oh yeah i remember when donnie gave you a job to do and you could get 10 gp to 2.5k! i was doing these forever, but i couldnt get any jobs now, no sourse of income back then :(
also i never thought money was that important, so i was poor, but happy :)

When I was a noob...
I didn't know how to get past tutorial Island until my friend told me how to get to the cook.
I didn't realize he had changed my attack style so I got 20 strength before I realized I could change back.
I thought that working for Donnie was the only way to get money.
I didn't know how to train ranged, so I was a terrible fighter.
I thought lesser demons were powerful.
I thought that magic could be trained without runes by casting Lumbridge Teleport every 30 minutes. Little did I know it gave no experience and I never got a magic level up.

I didnt know how to unnote items
I didnt know what my cb lvl was
I ran through the dungeon to remove ancients and then realising i could've used the shortcut
I was stinding at ge doing nothing for 30 minitus
I planted a potato patch and watched it grow
It died cuz i didnt cure it
I brought cannon to GWD
I was thinking that wearing dragon armour youd get a higher chance of getting a dragon drop
I died cuz of a hill giant
I trained wc at hollows (45-60 in 1 day)
I cutted logs, then burned them to sell the ashes for 8 gp
Cooking was hard to train...
When fly fishing i brought a hatchet and a tinderbox to cook everything and then give it to ppl fighting cockroaches
I got my first mill through gold rings...

Oh man..I remember the good old days...
When I was a noob, I thought dragon weapons were made from actual dragons. So whenever someone told me about dragon weapons, I put them on my ignore and called them a lying idiot O_o

True story:
When I was a noob (2006 or so), I found some giving away free stuff (worth mills). Real rares. Sadly I had no clue what they were so I sold them for a few Ks.
Another true story:
I tried to make rune armor by putting air runes in a furnace.
Oh and:
I dropped a full set of rune (t) because it was noted and I thought it was paper.
And last but not least:
I was banned on one alt account becuase someone mentioned bots and I tried to buy one at the general store and when I couldn't I ran around yelling "Need a bot"
