When i was a noob, i thought 45 mining was big. That was about 4 years ago. I mined in falador 24 hours a day for 7 days a week. It took me forever to get to 60 mining. I was so happy to be able to get in the mining guild. That is untill i found out how many people can get in the mining guild. Thats a big lol. I made steel long swords and steel platebodies with the bars i made. I sold them all to the general store. Never knew about the forum selling till after the grand exchange. Well after a couple weeks of mining and smithing i made 23k gp. I thought i was majorly rich. My friends thought i was rich, not being the money makers they were. I mined for a year and my most prized possesion was actually a diamond ring. Another big lol. Well today you can still call me a noob. Just a level 92 combat with 36m total xp. 99 fletch and 99 cook really contributed to that. I am also ranked in every skill. Right now im trying to get 50+ all 24 skills. I got 20 over 50, 4 more to go. In my mind im still the miner i was. Still pretty poor for today. 18m to my name in my bank. But I remember well before the ge that I saw a person in varrock bank that had 100k on him. And I thought he had to be the richest person in the whole land of Runescape. Over the years I became a accomplished runescape player and still very rich to my firends. And that was my noob story the whole "Rags to Riches" story. LOL
