Okay, so, I chatted with Sun Sioux in-game (we're friends) because he was the only signature artist friend that was online at the time. I told him about my impossibly censored signature, we tried to fix it etc., then I finally figured out why my signature was censored.

The censor no longer likes the dots. Dots will now randomly censor borders, which is very annoying. I've replaced most of the dots in my signature with colons. I made Accomplishes a signature at DFS a while ago, and the same problem arised with his yesterday. I've fixed his now.

I've noticed signatures dying all around the forums :O

Like Ruby said, using . in connection with some symbols (usually those which are typically obtained via alt codes) and letters results in the starring out of a signature.

If I had to guess, this has to do with updating to compensate for link work arounds using alt codes. Using : is probably safer than . in any spacing.

Darth Malgus, if you've never made signatures before, I'd suggest starting out small. Try using the wave guide to create your own wave, then use your wave to make a 1-liner or even a 2-liner.

Remember to use colons instead of full-stops. The guide shows full-stops as examples, but the recent-ish change with the filter has made full-stops cause the signature to censor randomly.

Ow, my brain hurts from trying to understand :@ I guess I'll go signature less for the rest of my forum existence :(

EDIT: Unless of course someone who enjoys this kind of stuff would like to make me one, although I do not know how to save it, or what to do with it in general O_o

Something that keeps causing problems for me is that whenever i add more than a certain number of colours to something (even when it's within the character limit), it doesn't recognize the codes and just displays a load of [colour1][/colour1].

And on top of that it gets rid of 'enter', so in places where the next bit of text should be on the line below, e.g.

aaaaa
bbbbb
ccccc

It would instead be;

aaaaabbbbbccccc

Is this a problem with the forums or a problem with the computer I'm using?

It becomes easy once you get the hang of it! I recommend starting off easy and not try to make wacky and wonderful designs to begin with. Here are some of the first signatures that some of the signature artists you see around here made.

It's definitely worth giving it a go, although you could request a signature to be made; there are a few thread around Forum Games that offer these services such as this one . :)

Hmm I haven't seen any problems like that, could you post an example showing the code not working?
