Edit: Okay, I have found a way of getting around the new glitches! For the colour tags...

It seems to happen when the first thing on a new line is a color tag. You can add a soft-hyphen (alt-0173) at the start of the line before the color tag to fix it. The soft-hyphen is invisible in the forums, so it won't show up when you type it, but it is still saved in the post.
And for blank lines not registering... if you put a soft-hyphen (alt code: 0173) at the beginning of any blank line, it will register.

So, all in all, the new bugs aren't so bad. There's a way to get around them.
