Alt 0164 is a very thick symbol. It is usually best not to use it right next to thin symbols like commas, but to use it next to symbols like Alt 0171.
When making a transition, as a general rule, the steeper the smoother. Also you should almost never put a comma in between Alt 0184 and a middle symbol. It starts to curve the transition the wrong way, and thus looks disconnected. Sorry I can't demonstrate ATM, I'm on my iPad. I can later if I'm being too ambiguous.
Thanks for the advice, Nop Patar, but it might be best not to over-complicate the thread with making signatures precise; that's more of a design aspect, but I like to think that everybody will have different tastes on how signatures should look.
Of course the thin-thick thing doesn't matter too much. This was what I was talking about before.
*°•,¸ ‹— see how right before it transitions it starts to flatten out.

Instead of continuing the course of the curve the comma changes its direction.

Now, see how without the comma it transitions smoothly, it looks much more connected? You wouldn't have to change much, their are just a few places where you should take a comma out. You wouldn't want to give new artists bad habits, and for some reason this is quite a common mistake.
Again, thank you for the feedback, but as I said earlier I prefer to think that people will choose their own ''style'' for signatures. Getting too into the fine-details could put some people off, and would give people the impression that signatures would have to look a certain way.
Sorry for taking up a lot of posts and being ridiculously ocd, but I'm not asking you to explain this in your guide, just take a couple commas out. No one will notice the change, but their transitions will look much better.
I do have a question regarding forum signatures which isn't exactly about making them, so I hope nobody minds if I post it here..
Is there a way to set my signature so that it applies it at the end of all my posts (or just some of them if I choose a setting at the time of writing?) or do I simply have to copy and paste it myself at the end of posts that I want my signature to be on?
I'm kind of new to using these forums so that would probably explain the noob-ish question.

You'll need to place it manually on every post, as these forums don't yet have the capabilities to have them automatically appear. I've heard a few people, though, have scripts which enters the signature for them.
