I'm gonna be specific, red foxes are cute as kits, and beautiful as adults. They're fast and very intelligent.
Latin for fox is: vulpes
In a latin dictionary, it had the first definition "fox" then it went onto "cunning, intelligent" I'm not surprised that they would combine those words into the definition.

Foxes would be an awesome familiar, just not at a too high summoning level, as long as they're cheap though
What would be better than a familiar would be a fox for a pet So I'll suggest that somewhere....
