Rumour has it

Pippy is in negotiations to buy Maud Island
to help protect the Ta(k)ahe, an endangered bird of mainly purple-blue.

Negotiations for Purple Island, Qatar, fell through after discovery that it is not actually a purple island, but named so due to the population operating a purple dye industry on the island from around 1400 to 1100 BC. Negotiations may be resumed, if the purple dye industry is revived.
