Yes, the event has been released - and more's coming next week.

You can head over to the Lumbridge Crater, and help Santa build his Giant Cracker by delivering presents to some of RuneScapes famous NPC's.

If that doesn't tickle your fancy, you can help to defeat Snowverload, who spawns every three hours. You have to work with the community to lure him to the Lumbridge crater, where he'll be banished by Santa. At the same time, tinsel snakes will spawn in Varrock. Take them to the Christmas tree in Varrock for Summoning experience, and if you hand in 10 at once, you'll receive the Christmas pet from 2011.

Next week sees the release of a small Mini-quest and subsequent Snowboarding.


There's also the usual seasonal events on the Treasure Hunter minigame, offering untradeable rewards. Speak to the head Elf in Burthorpe for more info.

Yeah, if you're doing the barbarian fishing then you're definitely not looking at profit. I like how you used your name in there though haha, it's definitely afkable enough to forum, watch movies, and so on ^_^ If you're looking to make cash but at a slower xp rate, then perhaps consider sharks or rocktails :P

It's possible to fish rocktails with 81 fishing? ;)

Umm I've seen a few videos about fishing and they mention that it's not worth doing sharks. I'll probably do rocktails at 90 if I ever go for 90, but for now I just want to have another ports skill.

E: just found out that I can get 90 crafting and only lose 12mis* without a low limit on items. :)

Haha, time to teach you fishing skills that no one else at your level knows ;)

I suppose sharks are kinda slow aren't they? Ah well, good luck with your fishing mission ;)

I'd definitely get your crafting up while it's cheap then :D

I said only because I thought that I'd have to either wait a really long time/ask people to buy things for me/spend 30M+ (little less than half of my money, even though I can make it back easily). I'm just glad that what I'm doing for crafting has a decent buying limit and is "very afkable". :) ;)
