No matter how much time I spend in the sun (of course I am sensible about it and wear suncream if the UV rays are going to be high, or if I will be spending a lot of time in the sun that day), I only tan minutely. I also don't burn very easily, which you wouldn't expect with someone with vampirelike pale skin like me.
I look like a vampire all year round. The only tan lines that you can really see are the ones on my feet from wearing sandals, and a tiny spot on my shoulder where I got sunburnt from accidentally not putting enough suncream there. I've never been sunburnt other than that one spot. There are very small amounts of tanning on slightly burn-prone spots (e.g. neck) from playing tennis all summer, but even that's not very noticeable.
My suncream says on the bottle "allows eventual tanning", yet it seems to block me from the sun entirely.
My sister, in contrast, tans like a jacket potato even with suncream on. She doesn't get burnt, she just tans really easily. Even if we've both spent the exact same amount of time in the sun, with no suncream on, she still tans way more than me. At the end of the day she looks like she's been in the sun, I just look like a vampire.
Once someone asked me if I was wearing any suncream, and if I hadn't rubbed it in properly because I looked so pale. They didn't mean anything bad by it, they just genuinely thought I hadn't rubbed in my suncream properly. I wasn't even wearing any, haha.
I wasn't even slightly offended, because I love being pale. It's like my trademark!

Wow that's very interesting!

A portion of my neck is cut off. Same with Tranquillity's.
Correction: Your avatar is glitched, therefore it is cut off. Tranquillity, on the other hand, got bitten by you so her neck just looks like it's glitched.
