You could always make a motion to have a moratorium on counting threads.
Let players finish out the current counting threads, but you can't add any more until those are maxed.
Or get mods to do like they did with the jmod/fmod count threads: players create a unified count thread
players are allowed to create a Count to X before.
A poster gets to say "ok everybody, we're going to count to 100 before a party hat posts"
If the counting reaches 100 OR a Party Hat posts, then the counting is stopped, and they THEY get to create the next count,
So "Count to 100 before a Party Hat"
