wasn't there a vote to bring back recoloured/altered holiday items, possibly via solololomons store? all i think i've seen implemented that somewhat reflects this is the rubber turkeys

Yep Cherry, sad that Jagex re-release some of the rares, like the OH version and buddy. Prices crashed heavily.

personally i don't think rereleasing untradable discontinued items/ rares is such a bad thing. there's other ways to show your acc age if you so wish to, ie the milestone capes. you could work hard for your entire rs career to save up for a phat, but will never be able to get x item you truly want. idk
