v I'd say you had too many middle symbols. Simply by taking out the "~" I made it much smoother:

Also, make sure your wave has the same bottom and top the entire time. Your middle of "«_»" doesn't match the bottom of your wave at the start/end. Keep your bottoms the same throughout the entire wave, and vice versa for your tops. =)
