The City of the Big Shoulders is where the roleplay begins, on January 10th, 2080, of which paleo-climate has kept things warm and winter free.
There are multiple preset intros available further below. These allow users a means to introducing their characters quickly and easily, or give users an idea of what to work with. Once the roleplay begins, the following message is quite popular, a core motivation of the citizens:
Humans are biological homo sapiens . Unlike robotic entities, a human may possess supernatural abilities as long as one's brain, heart and nervous system are unmodified technologically.
Cyborgs are humans with computerized external or internal body parts.
Robots are just computerised machines limited to their programming.
Synthetics are advanced humanlike robots but who look obviously mechanical. They tend to be bound to their programming, but some self-modify to break free. They tend to have basic personalities. They lack emotions but can understand them.
Androids are highly advanced robots who look quite human. Up-close, the lines on their skin and faces are visible, clearly alluding to their manufacturing. Androids think, feel, and learn like humans, and this self-awareness allows them to inevitably overcome programming.
