"These," said Traer to Sukrae, "are my students. Please meet Lanna," he gestured to a pretty brown-haired girl. "Nator," a black-haired man stepped forward, shaking Sukrae's hand firmly. "Tantia," the blonde next to Nator waved shyly. "And Laressa," a girl by the fire stepped forward, shaking Sukrae's hand just as firmly as Nator had. "You will be able to talk to them later, but right now I would imagine that you'd like to see Teegan."
"Yes, very much."
They went through another door, then through the final one. In that room, Teegan sat on a chair by another fire, looking up happily as Sukrae entered.
"Hi!" She said, "How are you doing?"
"Alright." Sukrae looked at her, and it seemed to him that she glowed with a faint light, her raven hair swishing sofly as she moved. Her amber eyes glittered in the firelight, and she looked like a drawing of a girl on paper, with a candel lit behind it to make it glow like stained-glass.
Smiling at him, she crossed to the other side of the room, drawing aside a lavender curtain. From behind the curtain stepped a girl, so similer to Teegan that they looked like twins. The new girl grinned at Sukrae.
"Taena?" He asked in amazement. "How did you..... I mean..... you know..."
Taena laughed. "Traer here was a big help with that. Maybe you should ask him, because I still don't really know."
Traer smiled, clearly enjoying Sukrae's confusion. "Well, is a person dies in battle, then the Grim Reaper doesn't have any advance notice, so he has to finish up whatever he's doing before he gets the new corpse. So, the soul stays in the body until he comes. But, while the soul is in the body, it's possible to resurrect said corpse. That's what happened here. But, as you may have noticed, I took a part of Teegan to resurrect Taena. So, as Teegan can't live with part of herself missing, and Taena didn't have all of herself either, I replaced the gaps with magic."
"So.. they're part magic now?"
