Powers - He knows much about ancient healing, and how the world came to be a forseeker of what's coming upon in the future, and the past.
Reason of importance: His forseeking power and knowledge will go to the most bravehearted person there is if he dies of natural causes, if he gets murdered the murderer gets the power, hence the disguise as being homeless he's known to be alive and hidden but no one knows who he is yet. The murderer dies, of another murder it happens all over again.
