Currently working on this story

Hello and welcome, I would like to thank you for reading my story, and giving me feedback, I am planning on (hopefully) having some feedback as i go, and when i am ready for the final chapter, i will move everything to one thread, making it easier to read.

Before we get started, ill do my best to try and give a few outlines of some of the characters. (updated as i go)

The king - An old man, feared by many, hated by even more. One of the richest people in the world, and not scared to gloat, he is always looking of places to conquer and take control of. He is a single man, his wife dying to disease years ago, people think this is why he is so angry all the time.

Beast - One of three brothers, and the eldest. Skilled with a sword, or anything long and sharp he can swing. He is a kind hearted young man, around the age of 18, he will do anything to help his father take care of his family. Including risking his life trying to steal of loaf of bread here and there.

Panther - Also one of the three brothers, and the middle of the three. Unlike his eldest brother, he is skilled with anything that shoots arrows or bolts. He also unlike his brother, is a quiet young man, always sneaking around. At roughly age 16 he is labeled as a freak because his lack of presence around his peers.

Eagle - The youngest of the three, blessed with the skill of magic in his blood, is one to torment anyone he can. Levitating items just out of peoples reach, teleporting around, using his magic to steal things, sometimes to help his family, others just for fun. At the age of 14, his father worries about him the most out of his children.

The princess - A secret daughter of the king, who is skilled in stealth, and the art of healing. She is a "sassy brat" as some label who, but no one other then herself and the king, know she is his daughter.

Chapter 1 - The notice of a king

He heard it again, worried as always. He walked to the balcony over looking the his city, blinded by the brightness at first. Once his eyes had adjusted, he saw them, once again. The three young boys, trying to escape the guards yet again, each with a loaf of bread in hand. Along with the bread, they each also wielded a sling, each loaded with a rock. A crowd was forming around the chaos, and he knew he couldn't let this get any further out of hand, he had to do something with the boys.

He Immediately told his guard "bring me the boys, NOW"

"Yes my king" responded the guard, and took off for the town.

When the guard returned, he had all three brothers, each in the hand of guards, and were thrown in front of the king. After letting out a sigh, the king walked in front of the boys and dismiss everyone from his chambers.

The king stated, very loud, and very clear "I cannot have you three stealing every week, and causing chaos in the towns"

The eldest of the three boys raised his head to speak but was cut off by the king. The king proceeded to walk over to a chest, after digging around he pulled out a piece of rolled up paper that looked very old. None of the boys dared to ask what it was, they just stared at the king in fear. He Beckoned for them to come over to the table he had laid the piece of paper down on, revealing it to be a map of some lands they had never seen, or heard of. The king lets the boys ponder for a moment before speaking, after each of their interests had peaked he finally spoke...

"I have a quest for you, one that will make it so your family will never have to steal again, one that will make your names never forgotten"

The boys stared at the king in not only fear, but interest as well, none of them able to guess what, or where they were headed, or what they were headed into...

Chapter 2 - Saying good byes

Beast, the oldest brother finally spoke "Sir, what exactly are we looking at"

The king with a twisted smile, knowing he had hooked the boys began to explain that he needed a land scouted, and then for the boys to return immediately with the information. Once the boys had all the information they needed, the king sent them home, telling them to return in the morning, and everything they would need would be ready and they would leave just after first light. Each boy nodded and walked out of the room.

On the walk back to the house, the boys discussed how they would tell there parents of this, and how they would complete this quest without dying, as they had came so very close to many times already at a young age. After each of them agreed how to tell there parents, they each let out a long sigh of relief, knowing father was going to be angry.

After walking in the door, a mother instinct instantly kicked in and the boys were questioned heavily, with father chuckling at each question as it came. Finally Eagle, the youngest broke from the plan, and told the parents everything. Mom stood there, with an open mouth as eagle told her everything, while fathers face became more and more enraged. Once eagle had finished, the other two knew it was time to put all the missing details into play and hopefully ease the parents.

After hours of argueing, tears flowing, and many hugs thrown around the table, mom and dad both knew it had to be done, for if the boys refused the king, none of them would make it to lunch tomorrow. So mom ushered the boys to bed, knowing they had to be up early, while she herself also headed off. The father continued to sit at the table....all night. Finally morning came and the family gathered for a final prayer of protection from the gods before the boys walked to the castle.

Chapter 3 - A surprising guest

There they were, All five kneeling, holding hands, tears flowing down the mothers face as the father prayed

Almighty Zamorak,
We ask that you protect my boys on this adventure issued by the king himself, and that they may please you in the process. We ask that you bring them home, alive, and well, along with teaching them many life lessons along the way.
Amen

As it was finished the boys gave there final hugs and good byes before walking out the door. Beast, last to hug his father before leaving, felt his father slip something in his pocket, but did not say a word, and walked out of the house towards the castle. Each boy, silent on the walk, taking in the city for one last time as they walked, knowing they could never return here.

Upon arriving at the castle, they see the group of guards huddled in a group, around the king, and a mysterious hooded figure standing by his side. Once greeting were complete, each brother was taken by a different person in the group to gear up. Each not wanting to be away from the other, as each was secretly scared.

Beast was taken by a big, muscular man, who seemed to be the tallest man he had ever seen. The man asked beast about his sword skills, and knife skills. Making small talk while he laced up the armor beast had never seen before. The man then explained that this armor was an armor crafted by Bandos himself in the heavens. Beast looked up and thanked the heavens for providing him with armor. Along with his armor he also received a bag, with food, a few potions flasks he had never seen, and some small items he knew he would be needing. Finally the big burly man reached into his sheaths and pulled out two reddish orange, beautiful long swords he had never seen before. The man began to explain all the potential these weapons had, and the meaning behind them. Beast had already drifted off into a dream about the things he could do with them

Continued ...

Panther was taken by a man he had not only never seen before, but didn't even notice in the crowd, and with that, a giant smile spread across his face, knowing he already liked this man. Panther was given a set of white rangers armor he had only read about, asking as many questions as he could, while the man helped him place the armor over his slim body, and tighten the strapped to keep it in place. Once it was in place, the man began to explain all the hidden secrets of the armor. Everything from hidden knives, a sheath for arrows and a separate for bolts. Panther couldn't control his excitement, the man explained that the armor was crafted in the heavens by a god named Armadyl, now understanding what his brother was doing, he also prayed to the heavens and thanked them . One his bag was explained to him, that he also had enough food and supplies for the trip, he also had some potions that would come in handy along the way. After that he was handed a cross bow, crafted by the same god as the armor, and a bow crafted by the elves that had a glow to it. After thanking the man, he turned towards his brothers and was surprised as to what he saw....

Eagle being the youngest, easily had it the worst. He was a small built kid, who no one trusted with anything for the most part. He was given a set of robes, explained to him, as a gift from a demi god names Ahrims, and he did just as his brothers, and paid respect to them through prayer. He was handed a staff, the finest crafted staff he had ever held, and could feel the power rushing through its core. Once he was laced up, and ready to go, his bag was tossed at his feet with a grunt from the mage helping him. Eagle got down on his knees and opened it up slowly. To is suprise it was full, more runes then he had ever seen, more food and supplies then he had ever imagined would be supplies for him. He let a big smile run across his face and he stood up and walked towards his brothers

Continued ..... (Do you like the longer chapters?)

As all three boys stepped back into the circle of men, around the king, the look on his face gave away the fact that they would not be traveling alone. The king stood up and made a speech
"These three boys are leaving as boys, but will return as not only men, but heros of the city aswell. They are going on an adventure that could get them killed, and they accepted anyways. They have chosen to put there city first. Along these three boys, we have had another volunteer to travel with them. This Assassin has been sent by the gods to accompany them on there travels. May Zamorak himself be with you"

After a round of applause, cheering, shouting and hollering, the boys new it was time to head out. Each of them walking out of the city gates in single file behind the hooded figure, not a word was spoke. They all just watched the backpack in front of them and continued to walk.

After the city was out of sight, each was surprised to see the hooded figure suddenly turn around, each boy drawing there weapons and preparing for a fight. After a moment of no one breathing or moving, the hooded figured slowly reached for the hood and removed it. Each boy was stunned by the beauty of the girl under the hood, taken back by her red hair, white smile, and fair skin.

After a stare down, she finally spoke
"I am the daughter of the king, i know this comes as a surprise, but i am to accompany you and help you complete this quest. I will not get in the way, i do not expect special treatment, and i can help you"

Beast was the first to speak, with a stutter at first as he was still taken back.
"why would he send his own daughter on a quest as such that could get her killed"

Thinking about the question, she began to explain that while she was the secret daughter of the king, he trusted her most in life, and this quest could not end badly or people will die.

Chapter 4 - The first attack

After all the explaining was done, the princess offering her name as tiff, and explaining not to call her princess, they took another moment to look at the map. Tiff explained that sadly they would have to take a small adventure thru the wild, as the swamps were to dangerous and it was the only other port that could take them where they needed to go. Each boy let out a small shudder and nodded his head, giving the ok that they were ready.

Everyone slowly began to talk, telling stories, the boys learning about tiff, and tiff learning about them. It seemed like everything was going good on the first leg of there adventure, until, they heard something. Beast immediately drew his swords and was prepared for the worst, as the wild was known for groups of people looking to loot travelers. Panther wasn't far behind him with his cross bow loaded with three bolts, and drawn. Eagle being the youngest, was a little behind, but still was ready for the worst. Just as the boys took a sigh of relief that it must have been an animal, three men jumped from trees to surrounding them.

Beast not wanting to stale any longer, let out battle cry heard for miles it seemed like and charged the first one, who appeared to be the biggest, just how he liked them. Swinging his swords, faster then the looter had ever seen. The looter didn't have time to draw his sword before beast had sliced him, killing him with a single slash. The other two brothers, as always were working together, Eagle had entangled both there feet with vines, as panther set a single bolt into each of them.

It was over faster then it began, each boy turned to realize that tiff was shocked. Shocked that they had been attacked this close to the city still, and shocked at each of the boys skills and the speed at which this fight was over. Beast moved first to check on her, as he was within reach, she snapped to, smiled, and began to walk towards the first body....

Chapter 5 - The secret daughter

Tiff kicked the first body over onto his back, she checked all his pockets, gabbed his knife, and removed the bolt from his chest. After doing this to all three dead looters, she placed the coins in her bag, knowing they would need to bribe someone eventually, and gave each of the boys a knife to use. All three boys, dumbfounded at they way she acted, accepted the knives and began to move on with the trip.

This time eagle was feeling brave and asked the question all three wanted to know**** that tiff was dreading "Why did the king hide you for all these years?"

Tiff once again, took a moment to think about the question, and began to explain as they walked
"My mother died giving birth to me, my father wont tell me much of the events other then that. He decided that when i was born, he didnt want me to be in danger, so he sent me to the academy in the eleven lands, he knows the king over in those lands and got me a spot. Once i returned two years ago at age 15, he hid me as a peasant, until thismornig anyways. He figured it was time, and this was my calling"

Each boy continued to wait for more of the story, once they realized it was over, each snapped to and realized they had walked a long ways, and had almost made it to the point where they turn east and head to the port.

They once again got into the habit of walking, talking, joking with each other, and silently thinking of all the things they might run into on this adventure. Each of the boys having already killed a man, they knew it wasn't going to get easier.

It was getting dark out, and they knew they needed to sleep, but also knew that it was going to be dangerous and someone would have to take watch. They found a spot in a group of trees, and began to set up camp. Lighting a small fire, only to cook a quick dinner, and dry off any wet gear. Panther took the first watch in a tree so he could see out across the lands.
