Hey guys

Nice to see a few new faces around here to add to the usual crowd :)

Well, basically, all that I can tell you is: I am tired beyond belief, and have had almost no sleep for a week 0_0

I thought over the weekend I would have some time, I was wrong. However, things are looking better. I have some ideas for where I want to go next, and things are going to pick up and start coming together real soon here. I WILL post early tomorrow before I have to go work.

As to the originals: It may take a couple of weeks to track down and revise the originals in question, but I will make an attempt to post them all back up before this story reaches the end.

Just know, I haven't abandoned you yet, and I promise everything to come will be worth the wait.

***End Flashback***

Jay and Atery moved at a slow pace toward Undershadow's hideout. Jay knew something was up, but remained silent, waiting for Atery to initiate the conversation.
Finally, Atery spoke. "We don't really need to talk to Undershadow, I needed to speak with you."
Jay had guessed as much.
Atery continued, "See, I don't think everyone that we've surrounded ourselves with are actually sided with us."
Jay finally spoke. "What do you mean? Undershadow is helping Scyne??"
Atery shook his head. "This has nothing at all to do with Scyne."
Now Jay was confused. Scyne was the central enemy here, and the only one who could release the program and pass word.
Atery kept talking. "See, a couple of years ago, someone came to me and asked for the pass word. I was forced to give them something- so I gave them a fake."
Jay wasn't quite sure what was going on. "Who came to you?"
"Zert. Or, at least, his character was named Zert."
"You think the Zert we know now is an imposter?"
"I think the Zert that is here at the moment may have more evil purposes than we know as of yet."
Jay was believing the story less and less. "Zert is a hero, not a villain. I've heard all the stories..."
"I've lived them." Atery shot back.
Jay shrugged. "I just don't see how Zert could possibly come back to do us harm, unless it wasn't really Zert to begin with."
Atery sighed. "Well, you know the staff he is trying to get you to repair?"
Jay nodded, bracing himself for what Atery was about to say.
"It was never broken. It was put in the museum in Varrock for safe keeping."
Jay was more mystified than ever. "So... some guy, possibly Zert, recruited me to help him repair something that was never broken?"
Atery nodded. "I guess that's one way to put it, but for now, all we can do..."
As Atery neared the end of his sentence, Jay felt himself fade away....

Everything went dark for what seemed like an eternity. But, at long last, Jay was able to peel his eyes open. The world around him was bleak- nothing like where he had just been. He lay on a desert plain, which stretched out for miles in all directions. Above him was a simple dark sky. The area was illuminated by an eerie dark glow.
Jay stood up, and looked around, hoping to find some sort of town or safe haven nearby. There was none, just an endless stretch of desert.
Jay sighed and began walking in a randomly chosen direction.
As he trudged on the endless path, his thoughts began to wonder. What side was Zert on? Was Atery on his side?
He kept stepping forward, hoping that each step would be the last one he would have to take in this strange land.
Jay's thoughts continued to race: How did I get here? Why am I here? What's going on...

2 Hours Later

Jay continued moving forward, step by step. But, now, he grew weary. His legs were burning, and his mind was on the bring of exhaustion. All he wanted was to figure out what was going on, why he had been sent here, and to find a way back.
He convinced himself that he needed to move forward, but his body refused. His legs gave out from under him and he collapsed in the sand.
Jay had no idea what was happening to him, but he had a feeling he would have to make himself comfortable in his new surroundings...

heh, I see a nice twist in the making. Of course my membership is up today and I will never return(well its unlikely anyway) so I won't ever be able to comment again. That doesn't mean I'm not reading.
