Nikita had consumed some of the wild half-eaten leaves, and they melted to hot, effervescent gel in his mouth. His teeth ground to a yearning halt and seized together, and moulded into one marble chiselled stone, where an artisan built a Lenin statue.

Black spots darted along the coursing magnetic framework of his body, like insects scuttling along a plaster ceiling. His ears shook and his eyes slitted. Then his teeth opened again into ferocious jaguar fangs.
Nikita hit the floor, and thudded along, bouncing through zombie bodies that scratched, but were flung helplessly, rotten bags of meat into a careless road.
Nikita was now a mighty jaguar, that exercised its speed with abandon, throwing up towering clouds of dust behind his paws.
