Salem quietly snorted at the notion of him not being able to climb. Taking note of her movements, he tailed Lily as if he were her shadow into the forest and watched her fly up into the taller branches of the tree. Taking a less impressive approach to climbing, he reached up and grabbed a branch and heaved himself up finding some footing and proceeded until he reached a branch of the same height as Lily's but opposite side. From this angle they could get a better glance at the... whatever they were. Salem caught glance of the half humanoid half horse figure slowly trotting towards the clearing they just came from.
"What the hell is that thing?"
he whispered towards Lily's direction, taking extra care when pointing not to make any noise in the leaves of the tree.
(( I hope that's acceptable guthix, im assuming the centaur is getting super close by now ))
Heavy is the head that wears the crown, for he is loved by few and judged by many
Cade was about to follow the others, but he noticed that two of them were staying behind to keep watch. He looked down at the weird instrument weapon hybrid thing he'd picked up in the forest earlier, then remembered it had shot out a last of wind when the strings were plucked. He approached the other two.
"I'm not sure how useful I'll be in a fight,"
he said,
"But I think this instrument has some kind of...enchantment or something. It shoots blasts of air when you pull the strings. Given what we've seen so far, I wouldn't be surprised, and it might be useful for you to escape if whatever's coming gets too close. Also I can hit things with it."

They are staying behind? Are they nuts? We have know nothing of this place but they are going to stay and fight.
~, Jack thought to himself.
Jack sighed and said, "If they are all staying behind the point of leaving doesn't make sense anymore. I guess I am staying now too, sorry Annie I think they rather stay here and meet whatever is coming for us." Jack then said, "Besides this sword keeps saving my life here and there, whatever is coming after me the sword will save us again"
So badly he wanted to turn and runaway but, how could he do that when everyone else wanted to stay and fight. He couldn't leave now the group made the choice for him
Jack turns and said, "Lets see who is actually looking for us!"
That's when he saw it, a person with the torso of a person but the body of a horse. Jack stared unable to speak not truly understanding what he was seeing, the Centaur looked back at him holding a horn in its hand.
Jack managed to speak, "Uh guys...I think we have...company..."
~
The group in the trees
The centaur that was spotted halted, it scuffed the ground with its hooves, it stared at the ground looking for tracks, as it thought it heard something. The burn forest had little life left living, any sound other then the trotting of hooves and horns.
It scanned the area then suddenly stopped moving all together, and then started to walk slowly towards a tree under the two
Annie looked at Jack as she stopped walking towards the town and said,"your right. We need to find out who are looking for you guys." She put the gnome behind a bush to protect his body. Then she drew her sword just in case she needs protect this group.

“We’re only here to see what’s here. Right, big guy?”
she said in a hushed tone, turning to Anton for confirmation.
Catching Jack in the midst of a heroic double back, her palm literally smacked into her face. Rubbing the sore area as she cast an evil look at Jack, a twitch caught her eye – only, it wasn’t just a twitch; it was humanoid in nearly all the ways that counted. Her mouth widening into an O, she recognised the creature as a centaur, not entirely dissimilar from the creatures in her old picture books.
Even though the Centaur’s attention was currently on Jack, the breath chilled in her lungs, she turned several shades whiter and fought for balance as her legs quivered insatiably. Desperately gazing downwards at the katana quivering in her hands, she knew the score; if another fight were to break out, she likely wouldn't survive.
But she had to try something. Anything...
“H-hello?"
Rebekka stuttered, unsure if she had the Centaur’s attention – or if it could even understand her. Gesturing to herself, she continued,
”My name is Rebekka… and I would really... really like it if you didn't blow that horn…”
