Welcome!
Big Cat Congress is the seminal event in the big cat calendar. Big cats from all over the world, from zoos, enclosures and sub-Saharan jungles convene in world capitals to discuss, debate and ratify joint positions on issues of the day.
Big Cat Congress was first held in 1945 in the last vestiges of World War II, bringing together 180 big cats representing 250,000 big cats from all over the world to condemn the human slaughter and call for peace and unity of the big cats. House cats attended as observers. Since then, the Big Cat Congress has been held every 4 years without fail.
Today the issues facing big cats are more serious than ever.
On the agenda for you, delegate to Big Cat Congress, chosen by your people, is:
1. Bankruptcy facing the World Federation of Big Cats
2. Deforestation and climate change affecting habitats
3. Poaching pandemic - the widespread killing of big cats
4. Enslavement in human zoos and tourist enclosures - reparations? insurrection?
5. Full or associate membership for house cats - a huge but problematic resource
6. Joint declaration on the unilateral declaration of the President of the United States of America to designate big cats as a terrorist organisation
Big Cat Congress is currently taking place at the Excel Centre in London, in June 2020.
Are you a delegate, an observer, part of the events management team, press, corporate sponsor, or just a curious newbie to the world of Big Cat Congress? Human or big cat?
Find out for yourself how the congress of a massive international organisation with hundreds of thousands of voices at stake, lives, reputations and the future of the big cats can draw you into late night diplomatic sparring and debasement as new alliances pounce into the fray, and old lions don't go without a fight.
Join the events at congress today and make big cat history!
