Thanks, I don't generally get ideas from anywhere specific. I just one day decide to write something, grab some inspiration from everywhere and start writing.
And no, nothing from Death Note. As I said a couple of posts above, "all parallels are unintentional and coincidental".

I am certain that if such a virus was planted RuneScape would be shut down imediately. If the virus prevented this then I beleive Jagex would ban everyone. mabey destroy whatever the game is stored on. either way im sure this wouldnt last for long.

Do you not notice this is a story? And most likely you are correct though, after the first recipient of this attack was last on RS, then they'd shut it down immediately, banning everyone in the game.
But I'm presuming he means this would happen if they DIDN'T shut the game down.
P.S. if he turned this into a book, he'd probably be in court for about three years because this book is so similar to Death Note. I'm not saying he stole it, I'm just saying it's so similar it'd be rejected and he would lose so much face if he got this printed.

PLus it cant be death note cos its set in Runescape, and you gotta admit..its really good.

It does matter. Death Note was finished in 2005. Copyright isn't limited to just copying the entire story. I'm not doubting his genius at all. It's just that way.
