Turaek stands up and walks with the man. They walk in silence for only a few minutes, but the humid jungle takes its toll on them.

They enter a small wooden house on a large bluff above the beautiful, blue-green sea. The calls of tropical birds can be heard echoing from the dense, tropical jungle. On the clearest of days, Crash Island can be seen, just below the horizon.

“Sit Tylas, your old bones are probably aching from that long walk.” Turaek chuckled.

“HA! I may be old, but I could whip the tar outta you!”

“I don’t doubt that. So what have you been doing for the last 45 years?*

*Has it been long since you left? Wow! We must be getting old.” Tylas laughed. “Anyways, I’ve been working in Lumbridge as the Lumbridge Guide.”

Tylas face became very serious. “I haven’t gone 200 miles out to the middle of nowhere just to chat. I came here to discuss matters of the utmost importance.”

Tylas pauses as if he’s choosing his words carefully. “By the looks of it, we’re gonna need your help….again.”

Turaek starts to feel suspicious. *What do you mean ‘we’? “

“Well, ‘we’ as in all of Gielinor.” He pauses again. “The world is in grave peril! I’m afraid that big changes are coming up faster than ‘we’ can handle.”

Turaek jumps up from his chair and angrily shouts,” If you need my help that’s too dang* bad! I gave up my old life 45 years ago! I’m not going back!”

Tylas, who’s face was looking more and more his age with every word of Turaek’s, spoke. “I’m sorry you feel that way, but Gielinor needs your help.”

“Do you remember our last mission? DO YOU?”

“Yes, and I’m sorry for your loss but—“

“But nothing! I told you I’m through!” snapped Turaek.

Tylas had had enough. If he did*’t get Rolad…er Turaek, to help, then the end of the world may be sooner than everyone thought.

“GODS DANGIT* TURAEK! DO YOU KNOW WHAT HAPPENED THREE DAYS AGO? DO YOU?”

Turaek, taken aback by his old friend’s sudden outburst, calmed down slightly. “No Tylas, You know dang* well that you’re the first person I’ve talked to in nearly 5 decades! It’s not like I’ve been living here in secret though. I know that Sir Tiffy Cashien has been keeping an eye on me since I moved here!”

Tylas, who was still in a terrible fit of anger, replied,* I don’t give a dang* about that right now! Seers Village and Falador are all but wiped out! There’s nothing left of Seers and Falador is barely standing!”

For the first time in his 68 years of life, Turaek was truly shocked.

“G-Gone? But how!?”

“We don’t know. Only two things have ever created an explosion big enough to destroy whole cities. We have proof of the power of volcanoes and the only other thing is the gods themselves.”

“Casualties?” asked Turaek, now subdued.

“I believe there is 1,500 for Seers and 23,000 in Falador that-“

“That many people died!?” Turaek’s green eyes widened in shock.

“No,” said Tylas quietly,” That’s how many people survived. Out of one and a half million people, thirty-five thousand are still alive.”

Nausea swept over Turaek and he ran outside. Tylas stepped outside and watched as his friend threw up until nothing was left.

Turaek’s hands were shaking violently as he tried to stand up and as he moved back towards the house, he passed out.

Tylas picked him up and placed him in his bed. He took off the now dirty shirt on Turaek’s body and placed it outside. He went back into the house, put on a kettle of water on the fire, and looked at how much his friend had changed over the years.
“Hmmm. His hair’* longer and gray now. I guess that’s an outcome of old age. Aside from the wrinkles and gnarled hands, he’s still the same guy.”

Tylas was right. Turaek did(c)n’t change much over the years.

He still has rippling muscles, green eyes, a lean face, and an even tan. His nose was very crooked, a result of breaking his nose more than once.

Turaek was a well built man, probably from the 45 years of doing backbreaking work. He was 6 foot 2 inches and about 240 pounds. He would've been a very good gnomeball player.

Tylas decides that he should take a look around the small island until the water in the kettle boiled.

He glances at his friend and heads towards the dense jungle.
