“You want to get to the real Runescape?” it replied, and I nodded, now too scared to speak. There was silence again for another long period. “To get to the real Runescape, you must follow my instructions… You are already in the Wilderness. Walk. You are armed. You have food, runes, Ganodermic armour and an Armadyl battlestaff. There is no one else in the game save me. Kill me and you will be free*. And that was the last thing it said. I took a deep breath, which shook none the less. How could I though? How could I kill a super powerful being that managed to transport me, my in-game character, and my entire room into ‘his world’ and his Runescape? I looked out of the window again, seeing nothing but complete blackness. I shivered and contemplated what he said. If this is the only offer of escape, then it is the path Imustpursue. I looked back at the screen and collected myself. I clicked to move myself north determinately looking forward at the screen, not daring to look round in case that shadow was still lurking. Well, I knew it was… But I wasn't going to give it the satisfaction of showing how terrified I was of it, though, I was far more terrified of this battle. I was no noob, but I had always been terrible at Player Killing. Sure I can kill people in safe minigames, but* this is proper Wilderness duel, completely different. This was all or nothing.
I continued north, walking past the volcano. Once I was past, that’s where I saw it… A white dot on the minimap that wasn't me. I edged closer. It was… a female player? But the voice… It had been male? Never mind that now I thought, casting that curiosity from my mind, and I focused on what lie ahead. She turned to me, wearing full Perni*, equipping a Zaryte bow. She stepped forward, the black and purple armour concealing nearly all her skin, including her face which was covered by both a hood and mask.
