When I came back to RuneScape earlier this year, one of the things I did was to start an in-character journal of my progress through Gielinor. I've always been a roleplayer at heart, and I've found that writing in character is half the fun of this already amazing game and helps me think and play in character, as well. I called this project the 'Journal of the Awakening' because it tracks the unlikely path of a young schoolteacher from Ashdale as she wakes up to her destiny as a hero, at the same time as the world wakes and the gods return to Gielinor.
A few people have recommended that I publish the journal somewhere for others to read, and so I've created a Tumblr where I'll be releasing the instalments. EDIT: Apparently, the RS forums don't allow external links (I'm very new to posting here...) but if this sounds like something you might be interested in, please feel free to look it up!
I'll be releasing new entries at the rate of one per day until I've caught up with the backlog, and then one about every two days (the usual pace at which I write them) after that. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I'm enjoying writing it!
