The giant frog leaped upon Alex. Darkness surrounded him. His candle had been blown out. He grasped the air, trying to find his way out, but he did not know where to go. A giant, slimy frog brushed against his face. A different one knocked him to the wet stone floor. "I guess this is the end," Alex thought. But no more frogs attacked Alex. Alex managed to stand up, and he walked carefully in the dark, reaching out with his arms, trying to find his way. His foot landed in water, deep enough to make Alex fall. Alex was then submerged into cold, dark water. He could feel slimy animals touching his legs. He made his way to the surface, frogs croaking in the background, and he swam with all his might in one direction. He managed to get onto solid, slimy, stone ground once again. He, now soaking, fumbled along. Everything seemed a bit more quiet. His outstretched arms felt a jagged wall of stone. He decided to follow the wall in one direction. He continued on, and soon he felt with his hand what seemed like a giant claw. The claw then made a sudden movement, and Alex felt something strong grab his head and face, and he was pulled into the wall.
So, Alex did not escape the Lumbridge swamp caves.
