In awhile, I think that, in light of the fact that we havn't been able to keep on track with the applications we've been accepting (putting them on the main page) I think that sometime soon we should temporarily shut down wov, not entirely as you suggested, but just to making author applications. That will allow more time and focus into creating and designing the new WoV, too.
