Wow. I can't believe this is still alive!
Thanks to all the bumpers. And as a token of my gratitude, here's another poem that you'll hopefully enjoy!
Thanks again!
~~<><>~~ A Sonnet ~~<><>~~
The summer rains had come again
From off that vague and distant shore
Where solemn souls wilt in their pain,
Where stars beat shade upon the floor;
And I couldn't see, not in the eve
When the downpour overthrew the moon;
And I couldn't breathe, and less believe
Of a sun outside the timeless gloom.
Yet, where the oceans touch the skies,
Out from the banks that burst with light,
Nothing but truth among your eyes,
Treading the lines of day and night,
You brought me round to spring again;
You showed me life. You stopped the rain.
