The Siege:
Pinchemius however did not count in the weather, the clouds above indicated vertigo, A cloud phenomenon in which rain falling above does not hit the ground, because of evaporation. The flames did not last long. In response to this, Pinchparticus ordered the catapults to be fired, 200 Flugians were crushed in the first assault, Ladders sprung up from the attacker's side, (the city of Pinchmacedonia was built up into a fort hastily) And ordered loose a volley of arrows in an attempt to cut down any who tried to cut the ladders down from 5:00 am -12:00 pm, this was repeated. Pinchparticus took more casualties at first. From 12:00pm to 5:00pm Pinchemius attempted to dig his way underneath the city in an elaborate flanking maneuver, however, the heavy rain bogged his laborers' efforts.
Pinchcaptain Pic*tomely: Across the Valley, was the city of Pinchpolpira, who had commited themselves to Pinchparticus' cause. Their army was led by Pinchcaptain Pinchtommely, or as the Flugians called him "Pinchuncle Pinchtom" The army had assembled and charged off to Pinchmacedonia.
The Arrival of "Pinchuncle Pinchtom" spelled the end for Pinchemius, Having been Flanked by an additional 13,000 Flugians, Pinchemius was forced to order an orderly retreat, as he did so he was shot in the face with an arrow. He later succumbed to his wound.
The Siege of Pinchmacedonia convinced the other city states to join on Pinchemius' side. Rival cities joined his cause. the arrival of Pinchgaltine, a militaristic city state, similar to Sparta on Earth greatly raised morale.
The war was, however, to be a bitter Stalemate.
Prisoner Camps: Some 65 years after Pinchmacedonia, Spies reported sights of prisoner camps whose conditions were so squalid and so disgusting, that diseases such as mumps, measles, Typhoid Fever were rampant. These were so called "internment camps."
